                 Induction Programme 

Learning from the following session : 

I may not have always shown it, but I’m grateful to have had such an awesome induction program like ASTHA AVISHEK. Thank you for all the wisdom you shared and setting a great example.

 Day- 2  

Session -1: Corporate Etiquettes  

It is clear that our  literacy and numeracy skills have developed considerably while under ASTHA SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT This was an well guided session by Mrs Urmila k. chandy. She enlightened certain things like how well grooming is important in corporate fields, things like first impression, way of behavior, dressing styles etc. Those things are going to help us in enormous way .  Our talking, expression everything should be well organized. Probably it was a great interaction with such higher personality. This was quiet an amazing session, I would also like to have such kind of session  everyday. 

Session -2:  Computer Skills 

Computer literacy so important in the workplace, for everyone from the lowest employee to the highest employer. 

This session conducted by Jinasis Mohanty sir, was very interactive. We knew certain things like email writing , texting skills, how to sent a business mail  in professional way . 

Modern businesses rely heavily on computerised technology to efficiently complete vast amounts of tasks. Having decent computer skills means that you can perform the tasks that competing candidates may not be able to

 Day- 3

 Session -1: Fundamentals of Accounting  

Well being an commerce student I was familiar to accounting and terms related to it. But the hon’ble external sir explained it in simple words that make me speech less.  To be honest at first I afraid this subject but gradually everything became so simple. Also learned how this subject is going to help us in future.  

Session -2:  Brand Game 

This was one of my favourite session during whole induction week. Sabyasachi sir made it more interactive and interesting. Apart from this we got idea how brands act in their respective field. First they chose their audience, ad show time slot and other different things. Beyond is just not a memorable logo, but branding increases the value of a company, provides employees with direction and motivation, and makes acquiring new customers easier. ... A brand represents the sum of people's perception of a company's customer service, reputation, advertising and logo.

Day- 4  

Session -1: Fundamentals of Statistics

Before I have learnt this topic and was quiet similar for math students also.  Using statistics to better understand the world means more than just producing a new set of numerical information—you must interpret the results by reflecting on the significance and the importance of the results to the decision-making process you face.

Session -2:  Career MBA: A pathway to Corporate World 

Although a career in the corporate world has many benefits, it is not unusual for businessmen and businesswomen to get burnt out from stress and routine, and begin considering a new career path. 

While there is no perfect work environment, we must be honest with ourselves about whether a career path is really working. It is a decision that drives our overall sense of satisfaction. It was well discussed by Trilochan sir, Jinasis sir, Abhipsa mam and Bishnu sir. We got crystal clear knowledge about different domains and its usefulness like marketing, HR, finance, operation etc . But one thing make sure we have to expertise each and every domain because our ultimate aim is to creat our own identity. 

Day- 5  Session -1: Fundamentals of Economics 

in business and economics, fundamentals represent the primary characteristics and financial data necessary to determine the stability and health of an asset. This data can include macroeconomic, or large-scale factors, and microeconomic, or small-scale factors to set a value on securities or businesses. This session was taken by pro. Bishnu sir. Sir explain everything with in short period of time. 

 Session -2:  Decision Making and Time Management 

Our honorable principal madam Dr. Sharmila Subramanian enlightened this in a pleasant way. This session of induction week is one of the best thing of astha life. Here we got an case study on ‘save our soul’. Our team mates guided by Monoranjan Naik sir discussed on the given topic and finally came to an end result. Tough everyone has different opinions but we agreed on certain result. Here we came to know certain things required when you are in such a position to make a decision. As we know today we all are not isolated position while taking decision. Its important for us to determine the things and risk involved in that. 

Things which is good in short term may not be good one for long. 

 Day- 6  Session -1: Health and Wellness 

This session was guided by Ajit kumar nayak sir. He is well known and professional in this field. In this pandemic situation health is the utmost priority for people all over the world. We learnt working place yoga, short time yoga practices and some pranayams. Also their effective benefit for human body either external or internal. Besides got to know how to maintain a healthy diet , some diet charts also. Usually people forgot how to maintain good health of body as well as mind. If someone is not mentally healthy then this person is not healthy may be with six pack abs. Overall we got vast knowledge about exercise , yoga and pranayams with their benefits.
